The FG Bespoke process is designed to honour both client and material. From first conversation to ongoing care, each piece is shaped through a considered progression of listening, exploring, transforming, belonging, and maintaining.
Listening
Understanding the client, the context, the intended use, preferred materials, and the story the object is to carry, establishing the intent that guides the piece.
Exploring
The understanding developed through listening is translated into models that refine form, material selection, proportions, construction methods, and detailing, bringing function, aesthetics, and practicality into alignment.
Transforming
Materials are shaped in response to the design intent developed through exploration, combining modern methods with time-honoured craft. Through the making, the character and significance of the materials are revealed.
Belonging
The finished piece finds its place, becoming part of the client’s setting, routines, and story. It is made to be used, appreciated, and lived with, carrying the quiet distinction of a considered, bespoke object.
Maintaining
The relationship between client and maker continues beyond delivery. Feedback is invited, and ongoing care and refinement help the piece fulfil its original intent while retaining its presence, vibrance, and significance over time.
Materials

Selectively sourced with care, often through considerable physical effort, this collection showcases materials available for future pieces, with provenance documented wherever possible, inviting imagination around what might be.
